About Professional Visit Pass Malaysia

The Professional Visit Pass (PVP) enables foreign professionals to work or train temporarily in Malaysia. Excellent HR Group streamlines the application process, ensuring a smooth experience for both employers and foreign talent.

Validity:

  • Maximum duration of 12 months with no possibility of extensions.
  • For individuals attending training, the validity is limited to 6 months.
  • PVP can only be applied for once in a lifetime.

Upon arrival in Malaysia, specific requirements must be met based on your profession:

a. Ensure your passport has a minimum validity of 6 months.

b. Provide a passport-size photo.

c. Complete Malaysia visa application forms (IMM. 12 and IMM. 38).

d. Present a letter of offer from your Malaysian sponsor, detailing the purpose of your employment or training.

e. Include a copy of your sponsor’s company profile if applicable.

f. For international students: Submit your resume, academic certificates, and proof of collaboration between your school and sponsoring institution.

g. For religious missionaries: Obtain approval letters from the Department of Religion and the Islamic Religious Department.

h. For Chinese citizens: Provide a bank guarantee or personal security bond.

Professional Visit Pass Malaysia Application Process

General Process:

  1. Complete the application form.
  2. Ensure your sponsor (the company/institution where you’ll work/training) submits the application before your arrival in Malaysia.
  3. Submit your Professional Visit Pass application to the Malaysian Federal Government Administrative Centre (Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration Department) in Putrajaya.

 

For the Filming Industry:

  1. Submit the application to the Central Agency for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artists (PUSPAL), which collaborates with the Immigration Department to grant approval.
  2. Obtain an approval letter from FINAS (National Film Development Corporation Malaysia).
